Advanced Energy Names Dr. Imran Bhutta Divisional Vice President of New Jersey Engineering

Voorhees, New Jersey (December 6, 2000)—Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) named Dr. Imran Bhutta Divisional Vice President of Engineering for AE’s plant in Voorhees, New Jersey. Dr. Bhutta has responsibility for the entire design engineering function at the plant, including development, firmware and software, CAD, and applications engineering.

 

In announcing the new appointment, AE Voorhees President Bill Ruff, said, "Imran brings impressive technical expertise and dedication to our design engineering activities. His special strengths are design and simulation, which will be of tremendous help as we focus on high-frequency power supply applications for plasma-based manufacturing."

Dr. Bhutta brings 16 years of corporate and academic experience to his new position. His area of expertise is design and simulation of high-frequency circuits including ceramic hybrid circuits. Dr. Bhutta joined AE with the October 1998, merger of AE and RF Power Products (RFPP).
