Solar Bayern’s Completed 1.4 MW Gierczyce Solar Park Features 58 Advanced Energy 3TL 23-MV String Inverters
Metzingen, Germany, June 13, 2014—Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (NasdaqGM: AEIS) has supplied 58 of its 3TL 23-MV string inverters for a 1.4 megawatt (MW) Gierczyce solar park project near Krakow, Poland. Designed and constructed by the Bavarian firm Solar Bayern Vertrieb & Service GmbH in Grassau, Germany, the solar park accounts for double last year's total installed photovoltaic (PV) capacity in Poland, making this one of the largest PV projects ever installed in Poland.
"When choosing the inverters for this project, we were won over by the whole package: no maintenance required, long life expectancy, flexible system planning and easy installation”, said Klaus Blos, general manager at Solar Bayern. “This made our integrated system approach with the string inverter concept from Advanced Energy highly attractive."
With an output voltage of 460 VAC, Advanced Energy’s 3TL 23-MV string inverter is ideal for mediumvoltage applications in large-scale PV plants. In addition, the whole range of Advanced Energy inverters uses maintenance-free convection cooling, which makes the devices particularly reliable and
efficient with more than 98 percent efficiency ratings.
