Kerr Assumes VP Position at Advanced Energy

FORT COLLINS, Colorado (September 24, 1996)—Tim Kerr has been named Vice President of Engineering for Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (AE). In announcing the new appointment, AE’s President and CEO Doug Schatz to said, “I know that everyone at AE shares my high opinion of Tim. His engineering and process application expertise and his long tenure at AE bring continued strength and stability to the position and make him a key contributor to the company’s goal of increasing our focus on the specific needs of our customers.”

 

Mr. Schatz also noted that with Mr. Kerr taking over as Engineering VP, AE’s long-time Chief Technology Officer Rich Scholl will now have time to “actively focus on critical long-range product and application technology as well as to devote more time to new business development.”

Mr. Kerr has been with AE since 1987. With his proven technical and leadership abilities, Mr. Kerr has consistently progressed in responsibility within the company. Before joining AE, Mr. Kerr was with Hughes Aircraft Company.

At AE, Mr. Kerr is now responsible for leading new product development and the continual improvement of the company’s existing products. Upon the announcement of his promotion, Mr. Kerr said, “I look forward to continuing Rich Scholl’s strong leadership of technological innovation. I’m very pleased and fortunate to be working with AE’s highly talented engineering staff.”
