Advanced Energy Names Anton Mavretic Technical Fellow

Voorhees, New Jersey (February 11, 2000)-Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq NM: AEIS) has named Anton Mavretic as an AE Technical Fellow. This program recognizes exceptional technical ability and achievement. AE Technical Fellows serve as technical advisors on new products and new development. They act as role models and mentors for others within the company. In announcing the fellowship, Hollis Caswell, AE's President and COO, said, "Tony's background in academics has helped us attract, select, and develop a talented technical staff in New Jersey. He has made technical contributions to programs across the company. His technical expertise and outstanding mentoring skills help us maintain our strong technical leadership."

 

Dr. Mavretic earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State as well as an MSEE from the University of Denver. Most recently in his extensive career, Dr. Mavretic has been Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Advanced Energy Voorhees, Inc.(formerly RF Power Products). Prior to coming to AE in 1992, he was Associate Professor of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Boston University; Senior Staff Member at Harvard College Observatory in the Center for Astrophysics; and Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University. While at Boston University, he held the Analog Devices Corporation chair for five years. Directly after earning his Ph.D., Dr. Mavretic spent ten years at MIT's Center for Space Research.
