AE Appoints Fiona Wood Senior Vice President of Human Resources

FORT COLLINS, Colo., January 9, 2006—Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) today announced the appointment of Fiona Wood as senior vice president of human resources. Ms. Wood will report directly to Dr. Hans Betz, president and chief executive officer of Advanced Energy.

 

Dr. Betz said, “Fiona’s extensive background as a global human resources executive and business leader will enhance our strategic human resources initiatives. Her experience spans a diverse group of industries, including the dynamic high-tech manufacturing environment. She has a demonstrated track record in leading successful global human resources programs tied to objectives that attract and retain key talent, and will be a valuable addition to our management team.”

Ms. Wood brings to Advanced Energy a twenty-year background as a global human resources executive and business leader. Most recently, she founded and served as president for Brampton Consulting, LLC, a small practice focused on leadership development coaching. Immediately prior, Ms. Wood served in a number of senior human resources positions within a division of McKesson Corporation, including vice president and senior vice president. Before her career at McKesson, she was vice president of human resources at Somatogen (now Baxter International), and earlier, vice president of human resources for The BOC Group.
