Advanced Energy Names Shaun Wilson Vice President of Marketing for RF Power Management

Fort Collins, Colo., September 5, 2002—Advanced Energy Industries (Nasdaq: AEIS) recently announced the appointment of Shaun Wilson to the position of Vice President of Marketing for the RF Power Management Division. Mr. Wilson, 41, has an extensive background in corporate and product marketing in the semiconductor industry. He will be responsible for refining, expanding, and deepening the long-range strategic marketing plans for AE’s well-established, comprehensive line of RF power products.

Mr. Wilson comes to Advanced Energy from Helix Technology Corporation, where he held key positions including Vice President of Marketing, and most recently Vice President and General Manager of the CTI-Cryogenics Business Unit. Prior to joining Helix he worked at Eaton Corporation in the Semiconductor Equipment Operations—Implant Systems Division (now Axcelis) as Director of Marketing. Mr. Wilson has an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of California.
